Well after a mental weekend and the chance to let our hair down for once rather than blasting up and down this fine nation's motorways, the DiabloTraxx Collective are nicely refreshed! It's so nice to have a bit of downtime to party ourselves, and my god we got stuck in!!!

So big thanks to everyone we saw this weekend while out on the beer! Here's what we found out this weekend:-

1: When going out in small provincial towns, check the time of the last train home BEFORE getting hammered

2: I would actually make the sh*ttest tramp - I really hated the cold during our 2 hour wait for the next train. Even with about 10 pints of wifebeater inside me.

3: There is a wicked kebab and chicken shop near The Angel in Bedford. I don't know exactly where, or what it is called, but it must have been nearby as my drunken legs couldn't have carried me far....

4: It's all about the Sunday carvery to aid a recovery - but perhaps the 3 pints undid the good work?

5: Our stunning new Akai MPD32 (huge thanks to Julian and all the team at Akai Pro UK for this amazing piece of kit) controller is going to totally revolutionise what we can do in the live PA

...........which leads me onto Live PAs! We draw a lot of inspiration from the masters of the Hard Dance live PA, the truly incredible Nu Energy Collective. I caught sight of this amazing bit of footage from their B2B live set with SQ - this is what it's all about!!!

couldn't agree more with thats one the amount of times iv done that. also id like to add to that one is if there is a fast flowing deep stream the has a log going to the other side which makes it look like a great short cut to the train station DONT try and cross it take the long way round lol

As for this weekend I went out on Friday night to a bike custom show, saw loads of old mates from the H.A. & Viking Nomads & proceeded to use & abuse myself & them til 4 in the morning when I fell into my tent. Trouble is I had to set up a soundsystem & run Unstable the next day/night........NOT a good move. It was a good job I was playing the warm up set from 9 til 10 as by 11 O'clock I could hardly stand up I was so knackered. Still now you why we call it unstable now mate!

Mate it is the fucking tits!!! So much capability it's unreal - we're literally finding new tricks and techniques by the hour. And the build quality and overall feel is amazing - plenty of weight to it, faders and pots are all solid, and of course the gorgeous genuine MPC pads......man you'll get a go on it when you get here!

Hmmm could be down to a vista backwards compatibility issue - opens fine on my XP & win mp. Grrrrr

I'm still well confused by this Grubby - even managed to open it on my mum's new dual core running vista home premium. Did she show any appreciation for the live PA? Nope - just "who's that good looking lad there?" (Kev Energy lol)
